(April 22, 2016, Shanghai) Recently, a seven-membered delegation from Canadian oil and gas company Nexen headed by Liang Yu, Vice President of Operations, and Patrick O’Reilly, Vice President of Supply Chain, visited Hilong. They were showed around the production lines of pipe anti-corrosive coating and materials, CRA lined steel pipes and marine concrete weight coating (CWC) products, during which they also exchanged ideas on oilfield services and offshore engineering services.
When their visit to Hilong and Shanghai came to an end, the Nexen delegation said they had a better and more comprehensive understanding of Hilong and China, which made them more confident in procuring materials from China and in using the services provided by Chinese companies.
“Their visit reinforces our mutual understanding and lays a solid foundation for further cooperation. We believe that the cooperation will help Hilong increase its influence in Canadian energy market and develop such overseas markets as North America, South America, and Europe.” said Wang Tao, Executive President of Hilong.
Nexen is an upstream Canadian oil and gas operation company focusing on exploring oil sands and shale gas in west Canada, conventional oil in the North Sea and West African Ocean, and deep-water offshore oil at the Gulf of Mexico.
